Rallychem Chemicals’ Resolution Approach

Problem Diagnosis and Resolution

We inspect our customers’ equipment and process conditions, and take some formula samples for testing in the Rallychem Chemicals laboratory to identify the cause of the issues.

  • Toughening System: Customers, in an effort to improve toughness, have added a large amount of CPE, but the CPE used does not meet national standards and contains a significant amount of low-quality calcium carbonate, leading to reduced plasticization and insufficient toughness.
  • Optimization Direction for Toughening System: The use of polyester homopolymers for toughening is more efficient than CPE and can enhance performance at low temperatures.
  • Lubrication System: The PE wax used was found to be actually a low-melting point Fischer-Tropsch wax, and the stabilizer also contains a large amount of Fischer-Tropsch wax, resulting in excessive lubrication and a tendency to exude.
  • Optimization Direction for Lubrication System: Polyester wax can avoid the side effects of excessive lubrication, prevent precipitation, and offer a wide processing range.
  • Production Process: Increasing the processing temperature to improve plasticization can lead to charring of the material, and the production time is relatively short.
  • Optimization Direction for Production Process: Adopting the principle of low-temperature high-plasticization to extend production time.

Solution Test

Rallychem Chemicals has customized two sets of solutions, and technical service personnel, carrying the customized plans, conduct on-site production tests for customers.

  • Toughening System: The original production formula is replaced with Rallychems’ polyester homopolymer series RCM-CGX and RCM-S.
  • Lubrication System: The original PE wax and stearic acid are replaced with Rallychems’ polyester wax series RL-100.856dfa01d4855c1369ac713d07c7096.png

Outstanding Delivery

Both formulations have been tested, and after the application of polyester wax and polyester homopolymer products, the performance of the customer’s pipe materials has been significantly enhanced without increasing production costs. In terms of compression resistance, cold impact, and hand bending tests, the performance is superior to the pipes produced with the customer’s original formula. During the production process, the transition in the process is smooth, and the current is more stable.

The processing range of polyester wax is superior to the traditional combination of stearic acid and PE wax for both internal and external applications, and there is further room for optimization in production speed.
