Chlorine content control difficulties

Characteristics of raw materials: The chlorine content of CPVC is completely dependent on the resin used, while commonly used additives such as stabilizers, lubricants and processing aids do not contain chlorine.

Processing Difficulty: CPVC is at least two times more viscous than PVC and is more prone to paste, which increases its processing complexity.

Formulation limitations: In order to ensure that the chlorine content of the final product is not less than 60%, the total amount of additives is required to be no more than 7%, which puts forward higher requirements for the design of formulations.

How to achieve 60% chlorine content in CPVC products

Selection of high-quality raw materials: liquid-phase CPVC resin chlorine content is usually between 64% and 67%, which is more common. Solid-phase CPVC resin chlorine content can be more than 68%, but the color control is more difficult.

Application of efficient additives: Choose additives with small amount and high efficiency to reduce the dilution of chlorine content.

Innovative formulation ideas: Abandon the traditional PVC formulation mode, reduce the use of non-essential ingredients under the premise of ensuring processing convenience, so as to improve the overall chlorine content level.
